Artist Woojin Kim recreates the memories of his childhood dream of
becoming a zookeeper through the medium of stainless steel.
Each animal sculpture is meticulously built by welding and layering thousands of individual metal units,
then finished in vivid primary colors using his signature painting technique. Moving beyond mere representation, his works imbue each form with emotion and presence.
By bringing warmth to cold metal through the touch of his hands, Kim's animals embody a vision of a utopia that remains unchanged over time. Through them, he invites viewers to rediscover the wonder of childhood and find a sense of comfort they may have long forgotten.
